Zolid Plus 15/500 Tablets contain pioglitazone 15mg and metformin hydrochloride 500mg, two oral antidiabetic ingredients used to improve blood glucose control in adults with type 2 diabetes. Metformin primarily reduces glucose production by the liver and improves the body’s response to insulin, while pioglitazone increases insulin sensitivity in muscle, fat, and liver tissues. This complementary action helps the body use insulin more effectively and may support better fasting and after-meal glucose levels when diet, exercise, or treatment with a single medicine is insufficient. Zolid Plus should be taken with meals exactly as prescribed to reduce stomach-related discomfort. The dose depends on the patient’s glucose readings, kidney and liver function, other treatments, and response to therapy.
