Xarelto Tablets 20mg

Xarelto Tablets 20mg

Xarelto 25mg Tablets contain rivaroxaban, a direct-acting oral anticoagulant used to prevent and treat harmful blood clots. It works by selectively blocking Factor Xa, an important protein in the blood-clotting process, thereby reducing the formation of thrombin and clots. Depending on the patient’s condition, Xarelto may be prescribed to reduce the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in adults with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, or to treat deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism and help prevent their recurrence. The 25mg tablet must be taken with food to ensure proper absorption. Dosage and treatment duration vary according to the indication, kidney function, age, bleeding risk, and other medicines, so it must be used exactly as prescribed. The most important side effect is bleeding, which may occasionally be serious or life-threatening. Possible symptoms include unusual bruising, prolonged bleeding, blood in urine or stools, severe weakness, dizziness, or persistent headache. Patients should tell their doctor about kidney or liver disease, pregnancy, planned surgery, spinal procedures, and all medicines being used. Xarelto should not be stopped suddenly without medical advice because clotting risk may increase.
