Vicks Vapo Rub

Vicks VapoRub is a topical medicated ointment formulated with camphor, menthol, and eucalyptus oil. When applied to the chest and throat as directed, its aromatic vapours temporarily relieve cough associated with the common cold. It may also be rubbed onto muscles and joints to provide temporary relief from minor aches and discomfort. The mentholated fragrance creates a cooling, soothing sensation, while the ointment base allows gradual release of its aromatic ingredients. Apply an amount externally according to the instructions on the pack and gently massage it into the recommended area. For cough relief, keep clothing loose around the chest and throat so vapours can reach the nose and mouth. Vicks VapoRub is for external use only and must never be swallowed, placed inside the nostrils, applied beneath the nose, or used on broken or damaged skin. Do not heat, microwave, or add the ointment to hot water because splattering may cause burns. Avoid contact with the eyes. It should not be used in children younger than two years. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist, worsen, or are accompanied by fever.
