Velosef Injection 1g

Velosef Injection 1 g is a prescription antibiotic containing cephradine (also written cefradine), a first-generation cephalosporin. It is used by healthcare professionals to treat bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms. Depending on the doctor’s assessment and laboratory results, it may be prescribed for respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft-tissue infections, and certain bone or joint infections. Injectable cefradine may be selected when oral treatment is unsuitable or when an infection requires hospital-based care. Cephradine works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall, causing susceptible bacteria to weaken and die. It does not treat viral illnesses such as colds or influenza. The injection must be prepared and administered by a qualified healthcare professional through the prescribed route. Possible effects include pain at the injection site, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal discomfort, dizziness, or skin rash. Serious allergic reactions and severe or persistent diarrhoea require urgent medical attention.
