Terlax Tablet 2mg is a prescription muscle relaxant containing tizanidine. It is used to relieve muscle stiffness, tightness, cramps, and painful spasms associated with musculoskeletal or neurological conditions. Tizanidine acts on alpha-2 receptors in the brain and spinal cord, reducing excessive nerve signals responsible for increased muscle tone. This helps relax affected muscles, improve movement, and reduce discomfort. Terlax should be taken exactly as prescribed because its dose depends on the patient’s condition, response, and tolerance. It may be taken with or without food, but the selected method should remain consistent. Common side effects include sleepiness, dizziness, weakness, dry mouth, nausea, and reduced blood pressure.
