Suzet Tablet 50mg

Suzet Tablet 50mg

Suzet 50mg Tablet contains suzetrigine, a non-opioid pain medicine prescribed for moderate to severe acute pain in adults. It blocks NaV1.8 sodium channels in peripheral pain-sensing nerves, reducing pain signals before they reach the spinal cord and brain. Because it works outside the central nervous system, suzetrigine provides a treatment option from opioid medicines. Use Suzet only under a doctor’s supervision and for the shortest duration. Use beyond 14 days has not been established. Tablets should be swallowed whole and not crushed or chewed. The usual regimen begins with a 100mg loading dose on an empty stomach, followed 12 hours later by 50mg every 12 hours; patients must follow their prescriber’s instructions. Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit-containing food or drinks throughout treatment. Adverse effects include itching, muscle spasms, rash, and increased creatine phosphokinase levels. Strong CYP3A inhibitors must not be combined with suzetrigine, while other medicines may require avoidance or dosage adjustment. Tell your doctor about liver disease, pregnancy, breastfeeding, hormonal contraceptives, and medicines or supplements. Seek medical attention for facial swelling, breathing difficulty, severe rash, or another allergic reaction.
