Soin D3 Capsule

Soin D3 Capsule is an oral vitamin formulation containing cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3), an essential fat-soluble secosteroid regulator of calcium and phosphate homeostasis. Following ingestion, cholecalciferol undergoes hepatic hydroxylation via 25-hydroxylase to form calcifediol, which is subsequently converted in the kidneys by 1-alpha-hydroxylase into its active hormonal metabolite, calcitriol. Calcitriol binds with high affinity to intracellular Vitamin D Receptors (VDR), stimulating active intestinal transport and absorption of dietary calcium and phosphate, suppressing parathyroid hormone (PTH) secretion, reducing renal calcium excretion, and supporting osteoblast-mediated bone mineralization while modulating neuromuscular and immune functions.Clinically, Soin D3 is indicated for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin D deficiency states, nutritional rickets, osteomalacia, postmenopausal osteoporosis (as adjunctive therapy with calcium supplements), hypocalcemia, and secondary hyperparathyroidism. The standard dosing regime depends on clinical severity, typically ranging from 1 capsule weekly for 6 to 8 weeks (for therapeutic correction) to 1 capsule monthly (for maintenance), swallowed whole with a fat-containing meal to optimize gastrointestinal lymphatic absorption. It is contraindicated in patients with hypercalcemia, hypervitaminosis D, or nephrolithiasis. Side effects are minimal at therapeutic doses but may include nausea, constipation, weakness, or hypercalciuria with excessive intake.
