Seroxat CR 25mg Tablet contains Paroxetine 25mg in a controlled-release formulation. It is manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and belongs to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class of antidepressants. GSK Pakistan officially lists Seroxat CR Tablets in both 12.5mg and 25mg strengths. Paroxetine works by increasing the availability of serotonin in the brain, a neurotransmitter that helps regulate mood and emotional balance. Seroxat CR may be prescribed for major depressive disorder, social anxiety disorder/social phobia, panic disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
