Seitam Oral Solution 100mg/mL is a prescription anti-epileptic medicine containing levetiracetam. It is used to help control partial-onset seizures and may also be prescribed with other medicines for myoclonic seizures and primary generalised tonic-clonic seizures. The liquid formulation can be useful for children or patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets, but the exact dose must be calculated by a doctor according to age, body weight, seizure type, kidney function, and treatment response. Levetiracetam works by helping reduce abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Give each dose exactly as prescribed, using an oral syringe or calibrated measuring cup rather than a household spoon. It may be taken with or without food and should be used at the same times each day. Do not stop treatment suddenly or change the dose without medical advice, as seizures may worsen.
