Sacvin 50 Tablets contain sacubitril 24 mg and valsartan 26 mg, a prescription combination used to manage chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction. Sacubitril inhibits neprilysin, increasing natriuretic peptides, while valsartan blocks angiotensin II receptors. Together, they relax blood vessels, reduce fluid retention and strain on the heart, and may lower the risk of death and heart-failure hospitalization. Take Sacvin as prescribed, with or without food, and do not stop treatment without medical advice. Blood pressure, kidney function, and potassium levels may require monitoring. Side effects include dizziness, low blood pressure, cough, increased potassium, and reduced kidney function. Seek medical help for swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat or difficulty breathing, as these may indicate angioedema. Sacvin must not be taken with an ACE inhibitor; allow a 36-hour gap when switching from or to one. Avoid using an angiotensin receptor blocker. Do not use during pregnancy because the medicine can harm the baby. Tell your doctor about kidney or liver disease, diabetes, dehydration, potassium supplements, salt substitutes, diuretics, NSAID painkillers, lithium, aliskiren, and medicines before starting treatment.
