Rosuvastatin inhibits the liver’s cholesterol synthesis (HMG-CoA reductase) and improves LDL-cholesterol clearance.The combination is used to treat elevated cholesterol and help reduce cardiovascular risk when diet & exercise alone are not sufficient.
