Recetam 100mg/ml Oral Solution is a prescription antiepileptic medication containing Levetiracetam 100mg in each 1ml. It is manufactured by Genix Pharma (Pvt.) Ltd. and is available as a 60ml oral solution in Pakistan. Punjab Health Department Levetiracetam is used to help control different types of epileptic seizures, including partial-onset seizures, myoclonic seizures and generalized tonic-clonic seizures. It acts on the central nervous system and is believed to work primarily through interaction with synaptic vesicle protein 2A (SV2A), helping regulate neurotransmitter release and reduce abnormal electrical activity associated with seizures. Genix Pharma The liquid formulation allows accurate dose adjustment and can be particularly useful for children or adults who have difficulty swallowing tablets. The required dose depends on the patient's age, body weight, kidney function, type of seizure and response to treatment.
