Ozip 2.5mg Tablet contains olanzapine, an atypical antipsychotic medicine prescribed for the management of schizophrenia and bipolar I disorder. It helps reduce symptoms such as disturbed thinking, unusual beliefs, hallucinations, severe mood elevation, agitation, and behavioural changes by balancing the activity of dopamine and serotonin in the brain. The 2.5mg strength may be selected when a lower starting dose or careful dose adjustment is required, depending on the patient’s age, condition, response, and medical history. Ozip should be taken exactly as directed by a qualified doctor and may be used with or without food. Do not stop treatment suddenly unless advised, because symptoms may return or worsen. Common side effects may include sleepiness, dizziness, increased appetite, weight gain, dry mouth, constipation, and tiredness. Olanzapine may also affect blood sugar and cholesterol, so periodic monitoring may be required.
