OPSITE Small is a wound dressing designed to cover and protect a small area of skin. OPSITE dressings use a transparent, flexible film that helps form a barrier against water and outside contaminants while allowing the skin to breathe. Depending on the specific OPSITE version, the dressing may also include an absorbent pad. Check your pack to confirm its size and whether it is a film-only or padded dressing. Clean the area and dry the surrounding skin before application. Open the sterile pack immediately before use, then apply the dressing according to the instructions supplied. Smooth down the edges so they adhere securely. Change it when directed by your healthcare professional, or sooner if it loosens, leaks or becomes soiled. Avoid stretching the film tightly over the skin. Ask a clinician which dressing is suitable for a deep wound, heavy bleeding or significant fluid leakage. Seek medical advice if you notice increasing pain, redness, swelling, pus or fever. Do not use the dressing if its sterile packaging is damaged. OPSITE Small is intended for single use; dispose of it after removal.
