NIB 5mg Tablet contains nebivolol hydrochloride, a cardioselective beta-blocker prescribed for the treatment of high blood pressure. It lowers blood pressure by blocking beta-1 receptors in the heart, which slows the heart rate and reduces the force of contraction. Nebivolol also promotes nitric-oxide–mediated relaxation of blood vessels, helping blood flow more easily and reducing strain on the cardiovascular system. In selected patients, a physician may prescribe it as part of treatment for chronic heart failure. Take NIB at the same time each day, with or without food, exactly as directed. Do not stop treatment suddenly, because abrupt withdrawal may worsen chest pain or cause other heart problems. Common side effects include headache, dizziness, tiredness, nausea, slow heartbeat, and swelling of the legs or ankles. Seek urgent medical care for fainting, severe breathing difficulty, chest pain, or a very slow or irregular heartbeat. Tell the doctor about asthma, poor circulation, diabetes, thyroid disease, kidney or liver impairment, heart block, or cardiac conditions. Also disclose medicines that lower heart rate or blood pressure, including verapamil, diltiazem, digoxin, clonidine, antiarrhythmics, and other beta-blockers
