Lodopin-V Tablets 10Mg/160Mg

Lodopin-V Tablets 10Mg/160Mg

Lodopin-V Tablets 10mg/160mg contain amlodipine 10mg and valsartan 160mg. This combination is prescribed to help control high blood pressure. Amlodipine relaxes blood vessels by blocking calcium entry into their walls, while valsartan blocks a hormone that causes blood vessels to narrow. Together, they help blood flow more easily and reduce pressure on the heart. Take Lodopin-V exactly as your doctor directs, usually at the same time each day. It may be taken with or without food. High blood pressure often has no symptoms, so continue treatment even when you feel well. Do not stop taking it or change the dose without medical advice. Your doctor may monitor your blood pressure, kidney function and potassium levels. Possible side effects include dizziness, headache and swelling of the ankles or feet. Tell your doctor if these become troublesome. Mention any potassium supplements, salt substitutes or other blood pressure treatments you use. Do not take Lodopin-V during pregnancy, as valsartan can harm an unborn baby. Contact your doctor promptly if you become pregnant. Seek urgent help for fainting or signs of a serious allergic reaction.
