Lodopin Tablets 10mg contain amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure and certain types of chest pain called angina. Each tablet contains 10mg of amlodipine. It helps blood vessels relax, allowing blood to flow more easily and reducing the work the heart has to do. Take Lodopin exactly as prescribed, at the same time each day if possible. It can be taken with or without food. High blood pressure often causes no symptoms, so continue taking your tablets even when you feel well. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without speaking to your doctor. Check your blood pressure as advised to see how well treatment is working. Possible side effects include headache, dizziness, flushing and swelling of the ankles or feet. Tell your doctor if these effects are troublesome or persistent. Seek urgent medical care if chest pain becomes new, severe or more frequent. Tell your doctor about other medicines you take and any liver problems before starting treatment. Store the tablets according to the packaging instructions and keep them out of children’s reach.
