Linjardy Tablets 5/10 mg contain linagliptin 5 mg and empagliflozin 10 mg, a combination of two oral antidiabetic medicines used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Linagliptin belongs to the DPP-4 inhibitor class and helps increase insulin release while reducing glucagon production when blood glucose is elevated. Empagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor that works through the kidneys to remove excess glucose from the body through urine. Together, these medicines provide complementary actions to help lower blood glucose when combined with an appropriate diet and regular physical activity.
