Lanzol 30mg Capsules contain lansoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor used to reduce acid production in the stomach. It may be prescribed for gastroesophageal reflux disease, reflux oesophagitis, stomach and duodenal ulcers, NSAID-associated ulcers, and conditions involving unusually high acid secretion, such as Zollinger–Ellison syndrome. Lansoprazole may also be combined with antibiotics to help eradicate Helicobacter pylori in patients with ulcer disease. It works by blocking the proton pumps inside acid-producing stomach cells, lowering acidity and allowing irritated or damaged tissue to heal. Lanzol should be taken exactly as directed by a doctor, preferably before food, because the required dose and treatment duration depend on the condition. The capsule should be swallowed whole and not crushed or chewed. Common side effects may include headache, nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, stomach pain, gas, dizziness, or skin rash. Inform the doctor about liver problems, pregnancy, breastfeeding, osteoporosis risk, low magnesium, or other medicines. Long-term or unnecessary use may increase the risk of nutrient deficiencies, intestinal infections, kidney inflammation, and bone fractures.
