Indpro 30mg Capsule contains Lansoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to reduce excessive acid production in the stomach. It is commonly prescribed for conditions associated with increased stomach acid, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn, acid-related indigestion, gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, and erosive esophagitis. Lansoprazole works by blocking the proton pumps present in the stomach lining, thereby reducing the amount of acid released into the stomach. Indpro 30mg may also be used as part of combination therapy for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection and for the prevention or treatment of ulcers associated with certain pain-relieving medications such as NSAIDs. It is generally taken before food, preferably before breakfast, as directed by a healthcare professional. Common side effects may include headache, nausea, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, constipation, or increased gas. Long-term use should only be continued under medical supervision because prolonged proton pump inhibitor therapy may affect magnesium, vitamin B12, or bone health in some patients.
