Gpride Tablet 1mg
Gpride 1mg Tablet contains glimepiride, a blood-glucose-lowering medicine from the sulfonylurea class. It is prescribed with diet and activity to help manage type 2 diabetes when lifestyle measures alone do not provide adequate control. Glimepiride stimulates pancreatic beta cells to release insulin, helping lower blood glucose levels. It may be used alone or with other diabetes medicines. Take Gpride as directed, usually with breakfast or the first meal of the day. Taking it without eating or skipping meals can increase the risk of hypoglycaemia. Monitor blood glucose as advised and continue the diet, exercise, and follow-up. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without consulting your doctor. The important side effect is low blood sugar, which may cause sweating, shaking, hunger, dizziness, headache, fast heartbeat, confusion, drowsiness, or blurred vision. Carry a source of glucose and follow your doctor’s hypoglycaemia plan. Other effects may include nausea, stomach discomfort, weight gain, or skin reactions. Inform your doctor about kidney or liver disease, pregnancy, breastfeeding, surgery, alcohol use, and medicines. Gpride is not used for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
