Getofin IV Injection 1g contains Ceftriaxone sodium, a broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic used for the treatment of bacterial infections when prescribed by a healthcare professional. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell-wall synthesis, helping stop the growth and spread of susceptible bacteria. This intravenous injection may be recommended for lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, bone and joint infections, meningitis, bacterial septicemia, pelvic inflammatory disease, gonorrhea, and surgical infection prophylaxis, depending on the doctor’s diagnosis.
