Fixval 100mg/5ml Suspension contains cefixime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms. Doctors may prescribe it for infections affecting the throat, ears, respiratory tract, urinary tract, or other areas, depending on the patient’s symptoms and test results. Cefixime works by interfering with bacterial cell-wall formation, which weakens and destroys the bacteria. It does not treat viral illnesses such as the common cold or flu.
