Exforge HCT Tablets 10/320/25mg contain amlodipine 10mg, valsartan 320mg, and hydrochlorothiazide 25mg. This triple-combination medicine is prescribed for adults with high blood pressure when treatment with individual medicines or two-drug therapy does not provide adequate control. Amlodipine relaxes and widens blood vessels, valsartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, and hydrochlorothiazide helps the kidneys remove excess salt and water. Together, these actions lower blood pressure and reduce strain on the heart and blood vessels. Take Exforge HCT exactly as prescribed, usually once daily, with or without food. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without consulting your doctor. Common side effects may include dizziness, headache, ankle swelling, tiredness, nausea, increased urination, or low blood pressure. Your doctor may monitor kidney function, blood pressure, and electrolyte levels during treatment. Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, dehydration, diabetes, gout, or electrolyte problems. This medicine must not be used during pregnancy because valsartan may harm the unborn baby.
