Estar Tablets 10mg contain escitalopram, a prescription antidepressant belonging to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) group. It works by increasing serotonin activity in the brain, helping improve mood and reduce symptoms associated with depression and anxiety disorders. Estar may be prescribed for major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, depending on the doctor’s assessment. This medicine is generally taken once daily, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Improvement may take several weeks, so treatment should be continued exactly as directed even if immediate benefits are not noticed.
