Elbonix Tablet 50mg

Elbonix Tablet 50mg contains eltrombopag, a thrombopoietin-receptor agonist used to increase platelet production in patients with low platelet counts. It stimulates cells in the bone marrow to produce platelets, helping reduce bleeding risk. Doctors may prescribe it for immune thrombocytopenia, severe aplastic anaemia, or thrombocytopenia associated with treatments or conditions. It is not intended to normalize platelet counts and must be used under specialist supervision. Take Elbonix exactly as prescribed, on an empty stomach or with a low-calcium meal. Calcium-rich foods, dairy products, antacids, and supplements containing iron, calcium, magnesium, aluminium, selenium, or zinc can reduce absorption. Take Elbonix at least two hours before or four hours after these products. Swallow the tablet whole. Regular platelet counts and liver-function tests are essential so the doctor can adjust the dose. Common side effects include nausea, diarrhoea, headache, tiredness, muscle pain, cough, and abnormal liver tests. Excessively elevated platelets may increase the risk of blood clots. Seek urgent medical attention for chest pain, sudden weakness, leg swelling, breathing difficulty, yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, unusual bleeding, or vision changes.
