Eczemus 0.1% Ointment

Eczemus 0.1% Ointment contains tacrolimus 1mg per gram and is a steroid-free treatment for moderate to severe atopic dermatitis in adults. Tacrolimus is a calcineurin inhibitor that reduces immune activity in the skin, helping relieve inflammation, redness, and itching when treatments are unsuitable or have not provided control. It is used on affected areas, sensitive sites where prolonged topical steroid use may be undesirable. Apply a thin layer to dry affected skin as directed by a dermatologist, twice daily during an eczema flare. Rub in and wash the hands afterward unless they are being treated. Do not cover the area with airtight dressings unless instructed. Burning, warmth, redness, itching, or tingling may occur at the application site during the first few days. Avoid the eyes, mouth, infected skin, excessive sunlight, tanning lamps, and alcohol on treated skin. Use sun protection. Seek advice if swollen glands, skin infection, irritation, or a skin lesion develops. Do not use continuously for prolonged periods without review. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Store below 30°C and keep out of children’s reach.
