Co-Flux 12mg/25mg Capsules contain olanzapine 12mg and fluoxetine 25mg. Olanzapine is an atypical antipsychotic, while fluoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). Together, these medicines affect serotonin, dopamine, and other chemical messengers in the brain. Co-Flux may be prescribed for depressive episodes associated with bipolar I disorder and for depression that has not responded adequately to other treatments. The capsule should be taken exactly as prescribed, commonly once daily in the evening, with or without food. Treatment must not be started, adjusted, or stopped without medical supervision. Benefits may take several weeks to become noticeable. Common side effects include sleepiness, increased appetite, weight gain, dry mouth, constipation, tiredness, dizziness, and difficulty concentrating. The medicine may also increase blood sugar, cholesterol, and triglyceride levels; therefore, regular monitoring may be required.
