Climen Tablets

Climen Tablets are a sequential hormone replacement therapy (HRT) used for adult women experiencing troublesome symptoms during or after menopause. Each calendar pack contains two types of coated tablets: 11 white tablets with estradiol valerate 2mg and 10 pink tablets with estradiol valerate 2mg plus cyproterone acetate 1mg. Estradiol replaces the oestrogen that naturally declines around menopause, helping relieve symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, and other discomforts caused by oestrogen deficiency. Cyproterone acetate acts as a progestogen during the second treatment phase and helps protect the uterine lining from excessive growth caused by oestrogen. Climen may also be prescribed to help prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis in women at increased fracture risk when other treatments are unsuitable. It is not a contraceptive and must not be used during pregnancy. Treatment should begin only after a doctor reviews the patient’s medical history and individual risks. Commonly reported effects include headache, nausea, abdominal pain, weight changes, itching, rash, and changes in bleeding. Seek urgent care for sudden chest pain, breathing difficulty, painful leg swelling, jaundice, or a first severe migraine-like headache immediately.
