Ciproxin Infusion 200 mg/100 mL contains ciprofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections when an intravenous option is needed. It works by stopping bacterial DNA replication, helping control infection and prevent further growth. This infusion may be prescribed for infections such as complicated urinary tract infections, lower respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, bone and joint infections, or other infections confirmed or strongly suspected to be caused by ciprofloxacin-sensitive bacteria. It is not effective for viral illnesses such as flu or common cold. Ciproxin Infusion should be given only by a trained healthcare professional, usually in a hospital or clinical setting, and the dose and treatment duration must be decided by the doctor. Patients should inform their doctor if they have kidney problems, epilepsy/seizure history, heart rhythm issues, myasthenia gravis, tendon problems, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or allergy to quinolone antibiotics.
