Caloc-V 5/80mg Tablet contains amlodipine 5mg and valsartan 80mg, two antihypertensive ingredients used together to manage high blood pressure. Amlodipine is a calcium-channel blocker that relaxes and widens blood vessels, while valsartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a substance that causes blood vessels to tighten. Their combined action improves blood flow, lowers blood pressure, and reduces strain on the heart. Maintaining controlled blood pressure may also help lower the long-term risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney complications. Caloc-V is generally prescribed when treatment with a single blood-pressure medicine does not provide adequate control. Take the tablet exactly as directed by your doctor, preferably at the same time each day, with or without food. Do not stop taking it without medical advice, even if you feel well.
