Avsar Tablets 160/5Mg

Avsar Tablets 160/5mg contain valsartan 160mg and amlodipine 5mg. These ingredients lower blood pressure in different ways: valsartan blocks the action of a hormone that tightens blood vessels, while amlodipine helps blood vessels relax. Avsar may be prescribed when one treatment alone does not adequately control high blood pressure. Take the tablet exactly as directed by your doctor, preferably at a consistent time each day. Blood pressure often has no noticeable symptoms, so continue treatment even when you feel well. Your doctor may check your blood pressure, kidney function and potassium levels during treatment. Do not stop taking Avsar without discussing it with your doctor. Possible side effects include dizziness, headache and swelling around the ankles. Rise slowly from sitting or lying down if you feel light-headed. Tell your doctor about other blood pressure treatments, potassium supplements or salt substitutes you use. Avsar must not be used during pregnancy because valsartan can harm an unborn baby. Contact your doctor promptly if you become pregnant. Seek urgent medical care for fainting, severe swelling or symptoms of an allergic reaction. Store the tablets as directed on the pack.
