Atem Nebuliser Solution Ampoule 0.025% 2ml contains ipratropium bromide, a bronchodilator that helps open the airways and make breathing easier. Each 2ml ampoule contains 500mcg of ipratropium bromide and is intended for inhalation through a nebuliser. It may be prescribed for people with asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including symptoms such as wheezing, chest tightness and shortness of breath. A nebuliser turns the solution into a fine mist that is breathed into the lungs through a suitable mask or mouthpiece. Use Atem only in the amount and at the times advised by your doctor. Your doctor may prescribe it alongside other breathing treatments, depending on your condition. Keep the mist away from your eyes, particularly if you have glaucoma. Possible side effects include dry mouth, throat irritation, cough or headache.
