Acufol 400 mcg Tablet contains L-methylfolate, an active form of folate (vitamin B9) used to prevent or manage folate deficiency and support healthy red blood cell formation. Folate is essential for DNA production, normal cell growth, and proper development of the nervous system. Acufol may be recommended before conception and during pregnancy to support maternal nutrition and help reduce the risk of neural tube defects in the developing baby. It may also be used in people with increased folate requirements or certain types of folate-deficiency anemia. Take Acufol exactly as advised by a doctor, usually with water and with or without food.
