Actim 2.5mg Tablet contains bisoprolol fumarate, a selective beta-1 blocker used to manage cardiovascular conditions such as high blood pressure, stable angina, and stable chronic heart failure when prescribed as part of a treatment plan. It works by reducing the effects of adrenaline on the heart, helping slow the heart rate, lower blood pressure, and decrease the heart’s workload. The 2.5mg strength is commonly used when treatment is being started or adjusted, particularly in patients with heart failure. Take Actim exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time, with or without food. Swallow the tablet with water and do not change the dose or stop treatment suddenly, as this may worsen the heart condition. Common side effects include tiredness, dizziness, headache, cold hands or feet, nausea, low blood pressure, and a slow heartbeat. Use requires caution in people with asthma, diabetes, circulation problems, kidney or liver impairment, or certain heart-rhythm disorders.
